Pray…AND Vote

2 Timothy 2:1-4   First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

The spirituality of a nation always shows up in culture and therefore in politics.  Culture is truly the outgrowth of what the people are worshipping or idolizing.  Politics truly has its origins in spiritual health or lack thereof.  When a culture begins worshipping God people ask what they can do for their country, when a culture worships self they are always asking what their country will do for them at the expense of others.  The worship of God tends to liberty, the worship of self tends to tyranny.  The worship of God brings freedom, the worship of man brings communism, socialism, and secular humanism.  The worship of God brings personal responsibility, the worship of self brings victimization. The bottom line is where the spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty!

In 1963, Kenneth E. Hagin gave a prophecy that is boomeranging and is relevant again today, maybe even more so than in the 1960s.  You can read it here.

And listen to it here.

We must, as the American Church, rise up with Ears to Hear what God is saying.  Pray that the scales be removed from the eyes of the spiritual blind so they see truth.  American ministers nowadays seem to be more concerned about what “people” will think about them than about what is truth from the Scriptures?

Prayer Point 1: Truth will be revealed, and all evil schemes will be thwarted. Luke 12:2-3, Isaiah 54:17, Psalm 91, Job 34:21-29

America was and is a place that was given to God by some of our ancestors, the Pilgrims in the early 1600s.  God assigned the Pilgrims to be the seed of a great nation, they were the committed, fearless, and faithful group that would give all for their religious freedoms.  There was a divine plan assigned to them, and we can be thankful for what they did in building a work in Early America where new truth and light would come after them.  The religious freedoms they built were unparalleled in the history of the world.  Prayer Point 2:  The divine plan and purpose for America will be fulfilled and God will give us Godly leaders. I Timothy 2:1-4, Proverbs 29:2, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Job 42:2, Proverbs 28:2, Job 12:13-24.

Therefore, as a Christian, we must vote this Tuesday November 8, 2022.  It is a critical midterm election.  Prayer Point 3:  Righteousness will prevail in our nation and they will elect Godly leaders.  Psalm 2:8-11, Psalm 75:6-11, Psalm 125, Proverbs 14:34-35, Isaiah 1:26, Ezra 7:25.

After elected, we pray that the chosen leaders will stay the course towards the destiny of the United States.  Prayer Point 4: The Lord will navigate the hearts of the leaders to His purpose and plans for America. Proverbs 21:1, Ezekiel 7:25
