2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn form their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
America today is in a spiritual drought, a dust bowl of the spirit. REVIVAL is the only cure for the spiritual famine we find ourselves in. People must again feel the Holy Spirit pulling on the inside of them. The convicting power of the Holy Spirit within them which brings true repentance. The proof of desire of a national revival will show up in personal pursuit of God!
Current data shows:
- 85% of the churches in America are in decline.
- 48% of all evangelical Christians who went to Church at least 1x a month before Covid, said they will not go back to Church in person after Covid.
- The late great evangelist and prophet Leonard Ravenhill stated he doubted if even 5% of professing Christians in America are truly born-again.
- 70% of those born in America will be born, live, and die and never once be invited to Church!
- 78% of American Churches never teach on personal evangelism.
We, therefore, need Revival, in ourselves. We need the Fire of God in our bellies to be in full flame again. I am ashamed to say the Church has calmed down too much, the Church has become too seeker-sensitive, the Church states they believe in God but only 6% actually hold a biblical worldview. What are we doing? The Church must come alive!
How shall we live to usher in a true revival of God? Read 2 Chronicles 7:14 again! God says He will exalt those that humble themselves – this is Revival step number 1! What then, after we humble ourselves? We must ask God and simply pray – Revival step number 2. Yet, there is more – we should now seek his face – Revival step number 3. That is seek His presence and you will encounter His Word, His Spirit,and His favor! And finally – let us turn from sin and be released from our idols and go free. We can choose His way of life – Revival step number 4.
Personal and National Revival WILL happen and, it is simply contingent on IF His people will
- Humble themselves
- Pray
- Seeking God’s face and presence
- Turning from wickedness (sin)
