This is the 18th book I have read by best-selling author Stephen Mansfield, I probably started in about 2004 so about 1 a year. This guy is a phenomenal writer, and is best remembered him the most for his work on Derek Prince as well as President George W. Bush, both excellent reads. He thought of Derek Prince as a notable mentor in his spiritual growth, a great teacher of the Word of God who he had listened to since he was young, if I remember correctly.

This book is truly a blend of historical narrative and advocacy for the Kurds. The Kurds truly are/were the best-kept secret in the Middle East, as well as a beacon of hope in the region which is volatile daily in this time. The Kurds are 35 million strong, and reside mostly in eastern Turkey as well as the northern regions of Syria, Iran, and Iraq.
In the middle of the Middle East mess, the Kurds are a light as they are uniquely pro-Western, and will protect Christians and other Middle East minorities. They are the United States’ most reliable ally in the Middle East, and they are not even a recognized country. Stephen’s key points about the Kurds is they lack the victim mentality that many others in the region have, and they desire international legitimacy.
In 2026, the Kurds are once again in play. They find themselves in a tough spot because Iran says they harbor the Israeli Mossad and their proximity to Tehran, Iran is adversely convenient to receive missile and drone strikes! The Kurds may remain the main “boots on the ground” that the U.S. relies on in the Middle East for up-to-date regional intelligence and stability.
Their current dilemma is how much to engage and receive aid from Israel and the U.S. The more the Kurds ally with those two powers the more Iran will consider them a proxy fighter and they will receive military strikes. The Miracle is alive but much under fire, it is no longer a secret but well known in the media and journalism. Will the Kurds go on the offensive soon in 2026? This is a very timely read in this time and hour!
