A lot of people wonder if money is the root of everything evil. They have heard the phrase and connect it to the Christian Bible. But it is not money that is the root of all evil – it is the love of money. You can read this in 1 Timothy 6:10. Many are concerned what they will lose if Jesus is preached, they are not realizing what is gained through believing in Him!
On the other hand, many preachers and ministers talk like prosperity is only linked to giving, and many times giving to them or their church. Of course, giving is part of it. That must be part of the heart condition. God will prosper us, but He will also make our way prosperous. Practically, we should identify our desires, skills, our experiences, and ask God to lead us into a realm where these can be used to prosper. You and I should get the best education we can and gain knowledge about the world we live in. And education is free on the Internet nowadays with data available with the click of a mouse. Of course, formal education is a good thing too.
Also, practically be interested on the job, do the extra, arrive early and stay late to get tasks completed. Typically, and for the most part, God blesses you through your job. However, as you grow in knowledge God will begin to bring you ideas for multiple revenue streams.
Your soul should be at homeostasis and this balance can bring you prosperity and begin to build wealth into your family and legacy. Let’s strive to maintain balance in every area of your life, including finances and wealth. There will be times where God may bring you abundance in seasons of your life and you should be believing for that. It may be short seasons, but these seasons should be used to eliminate debt and invest in your and your family’s future. Know how to invest, know how God is leading you. Have a structure and guide in place for when you come into these times of abundance in your life.

And at some point, you should start a business of some kind. Every family should have a business. If you are in your young adult years or in your middle years be sure you know how to read balance statements, P & L statements, know how to develop human capital and understand human resource laws, know what is happening in the realm of real estate, understand how politics and policy effect the economy, and give generously to the Church and nonprofits that speak to the 7 mountains of culture through the lens of Biblical principles. The season is ripe for the harvest of finances and the Christian family should be building legacy and wealth for the health of the Church.
